AFFILIATE CHARITY
Joe Torre, along with his wife Ali, founded Safe At Home in 2002 to end the cycle of violence and save lives.
Safe At Home’s groundbreaking Margaret’s Place program—named in honor of Joe’s mother—offers trauma-informed intervention and prevention services directly within schools, providing students with the tools they need to heal, grow, and thrive. Staffed by master’s-level counselors, Margaret’s Place teaches youth how to recognize healthy relationships, how to care for themselves and each other, and become leaders. The impact of Margaret’s Place extends far beyond the classroom—it strengthens families, uplifts schools, and touches entire communities, empowering young changemakers to create lasting positive change.
Currently operating across 29 school sites in New York, California, Ohio, and two international locations, Margaret’s Place has directly served over 200,000 young people, families, schools, and communities. Together, we are building a safer, braver world. To learn more, visit joetorre.org, or join us on social media at linktr.ee/safeathome_follow
